Description
Specimen consists of an open stomach. Multiple small nodules are seen on the mucosal surface,
the largest being up to 2 cm in diameter. The nodules appear to be confined to the gastric mucosa
and extend over a large portion of the body of the stomach. Histologic examination of these nodules
showed them to be composed of carcinoid tumour involving the mucosa and submucosa of the
stomach.
